Overview

Shaping the new face of smart fueling

FuelUp is a digital project aimed at transforming the outdated platform of a fuel station network. The goal was to create a modern, intuitive, and visually engaging experience that made it easy for users to locate service stations and explore brand information with clarity and style.

Problem

The existing portal for a regional gas station network was outdated, cluttered, and lacked user-centric features. Users struggled to locate nearby stations, and the overall interface didn’t reflect a modern or trustworthy brand. There was no clear information architecture or visual hierarchy, which made the experience feel disconnected and inefficient.

Solution

I designed a modern, user-friendly interface focused on helping users quickly identify nearby stations, view detailed location information, and explore the company’s background in a clean, professional environment. The new design emphasized clarity, mobile responsiveness, and a structured layout that improved usability and visual appeal. The goal was to elevate brand trust while enhancing the practical experience of finding services on-the-go.

My Role/Responsibilities

Led the end-to-end design process—from early discovery sessions to wireframing, prototyping, and final UI design. I collaborated directly with stakeholders to understand operational challenges, defined product requirements, and ensured the experience aligned with the business goals of the development firm. Also contributed to the content structure, visual hierarchy, and UX writing.

User Experience Design

Understanding driver needs and fueling behaviors

Survey

We conducted a survey with frequent drivers and small fleet operators to understand how they plan refueling, and track expenses. The goal was to identify the most common pain points and expectations when choosing a gas station or managing daily fuel usage.

User Interviews

We interviewed individual drivers and business owners to gain deeper insights into their decision-making and challenges. These conversations revealed the importance of  location accuracy, and transaction transparency—helping shape a user experience that prioritizes trust, speed, and clarity.

Final User Interface Design

Bringing the fueling experience to life through simple, intuitive, and visually clear design.
